BLACKADDER GOES FORTH
After our successful production of Blackadder II last July, we decided to come back with Blackadder Goes Forth! This time we took to the road and toured the production over three weeks to Salisbury, Tisbury, Shillingstone, Wincanton and Leigh. Our audiences got better and better and the performance from our fantastic cast was brilliant. And the cherry on the cake? We were raising money for Help For Heroes and commemorating the Centenary of World War I, so all funds raised went to a fantastic cause.
What did our audience think? 'I saw the opening night of (Blackadder Goes Forth) in Salisbury and just wanted to say congratulations on an excellent performance.... I think Alex played Blackadder with aplomb, Philip had George down pat, Aidan really looked the part, Jerome & not-Katy-Darragh's timing was excellent, Phil E absolutely nailed Darling and Steve was very strong.' - DAN PAGE |
'Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed Blackadder in Shillingstone on Saturday night -all the cast were brilliant -really well done. We will definitely look out for other Stab in the Dark productions -great stuff!' - MARTIN AND CAROLYN SMITH

Going-Going
On the 7th and 8th of March 2014 we put on an evening to remember. The fabulous farce 'Going-Going' took place in the Motcombe Memorial Hall and was enjoyed by two wonderful audiences.
The whole evening was themed as a 1960s flight with cabin crew guiding the audience to their seats and the bar stocked with Campari & Soda and Gin & Tonic. The atmosphere was fantastic! We even had some of the audience arrive in their best 60s outfits.
Here's what the critics had to say...
"Jenny Tempier did a fine job of directing the “big scenes” and the whole thing was done with huge chutzpah..."
"[A] big requirement is for excellent accents, and the three pilots did simply brilliantly, each keeping perfectly to his national brogue as well as perhaps caricature characteristics..."
And from our lovely technician...
"Have just seen the dress rehearsal for this, and missed a couple of sound cues because I was too caught up in the action!"

Blackadder II
On the 5th, 6th and 7th July 2013 we performed two episodes of the famous TV Series, Blackadder, in aid of Comic Relief.
The production took place in the Motcombe Memorial Hall and we sold out every night.
Not only was the performance a success, but with Nursie and Baldrick selling ice-cream and the Wisewoman running Mrs Miggin's Pieshop the interval was an event in itself!
The best part? We raised over £1,000 for Comic Relief!
We could wax lyrical about this production, but we're probably rather biased, so here's what two theatre critics had to say:
'... There were some powerfully funny performances, notably by Kate Kirkpatrick, out Richardsoning Miranda as Queenie...'
'...From the outset, the company has a lovely self-effacing witty tone and you are made to feel at home in the cosy village hall... '
'...The director Martin Porter has done a great of job of bringing the whacky humour to the fore, and along with producer, Natalie Bourchier, who also plays the lovely ‘Bob’, he sets the tone of the evening’s entertainment just right...'
We had a wonderful time creating this production and hope that our audience enjoyed it as much as we did - perhaps you came and saw us? We'd love to know what you thought, so please contact us with any feedback you may have - you are, after all, the important ones :)
